Our bed and breakfast is situated in Montfaucon, in the department of Meuse Argonne.
Here you can see  boars, deers and foxes in the wild.  Also present are many different bird species.  Especially, the migrating cranes in the spring and autumn are a magnificent sight.  

Walking
The landscape consists of numerous lakes and forests.  It is the ideal area to relax by walking.  Direct from our house you can follow a marked trail along which leads you to the old town center.  At the end of the walk you can climb the stairs of the American monument and enjoy a breathtaking view (open from 9.00am until 4.00 pm).  At home we have different hiking maps that you can feel free to borrow and take with you on your trips.

Birds & Nature
L'hirondelle is a nature and bird guide in the Meuse region.  He has great knowledge of nature in our region and loves to share it with you. Above all, he is an expert, thus  you are assured of a perfectly-guided tour.

Angling
Along the Maas, you can go “trout”- fishing.  Day-permits can be obtained from the Tourist Office.  

Water sports
Canoeing on the Meuse, master of your own boat (no certificate required) on the Meuse River and Canal de l 'Est or sailing on the lake.  It can all be done  in the Meuse.

Miscellaneous
There are numerous possibilities:  motorbike field  drives, helicopter flights, golf, donkey rides; among others.
